how can I tell which phone socket us the master socket?

Got a BT infinity engineer coming tomorrow to upgrade the broadband. Currently the router and hub are in the spare bedroom/office, but I'm not sure this is the master sicket - other phone sockets are also in the bedroom and livingroom.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Its the one with the split faceplate. The BT OR engineer will know which it is. Like this:-

Sorted, its actually a bitmore fancy than the one in the pic, it has two sockets and a bt logo but was lurking behind a bookcase, but not any more

BT OR will probably replace the existing faceplate with a VDSL iPlate.That gum you like is coming back in style.0
