    Nothing wrong with paying for wedding on a 0% credit card either way you haven't spent no more then you would of done if you would have saved up.

    I can see your point her however the saving was all part of the wedding preparation for me, there was always the wedding to look forward to.

    Five years after the date is a long time to be eating smart price beans and what happens if the OP decides to do what many newlyweds do and start a family?

    I'd say there's a big difference, not the least of which is, the couple buying the house aren't also paying £400 pm in Rent.

    Also, at the end of the mortgage, they'll have a house.

    At the end of the loan, the OP and their OH will have, some photos.
