If she's not "surprised you queried the size" I would think it was likely that she knew it wasn't a standard 14, and if she didn't offer to refund the return postage, my feedback would reflect that

Exactly what I was thinking as well. I'd be quite narked at paying return postage on something she knew wasn't correctly sized in the first place.

Just a thought, but as Next also sell children's clothes, are you sure it wasn't meant for a 14 year old girl as opposed to an adult size 14?

Surely that would explain the small size and also the sellers lack of suprise that it was too small for an adult?

I did wonder this myself, but I wasn't sure that beyond a certain age the sizings are that specific to ages? I must admit I did look at Next childrens clothes to see if I could find an answer as to how they usually sized these, but couldn't find anything very helpful.

The label did also have '11 13' on it (on the care label, not the one on the neckline), which made me think it could be a child's size, but again not enough to go on I guess.

I always thought that the 2 numbers on the small label behind the care label was the date of manufacture, but obviously can't be!
I just had a quick look at some of my kids labels and they all have random numbers on them, not size related!
