O2 Open discount still not applied!
Hi everyone,
Has anyone else experienced problems with O2 applying an Open discount?
I say that I am fortunate (that I will be if I ever get it actioned) to work for a company that subscribes to the Open scheme.
The deal being you get £125 credited to your account if you take a contract over £20. Which I did in November.
Since then, I have been plaqued with problems getting my code applied to my account. The online chat services said in December that it will be applied so I left them to it.
End of February, still no credit.
Online chat then told me I need to go into a store to get it done. No chance, so I rung customer services.
To be fair, I can't complain about the advisor who was just as confused as to why it hadn't been done as i was. So she applied a £2 monthly discount for the remainder of the contract and sent a message to the relevant team to make the necessary adjustment.
You guessed it, still no movement.
Surely it doesn't take months to make an account adjustment?
O2 are quick to take money from us when they stick their prices up, but are dreadful in fulfilling their supposed offers when it involves any discounts from their side.
Advice/opinions from anyone welcome.
Cheers
Robbo

Can I ask why you won't go into a store? I went into my local O2 store to get the discount applied for my mum's phone. Took less than 10 minutes and the discount was credited to the account correctly and within the time-frame given.
Yes they should be able to sort this out over the phone, but as they haven't, I would have thought going into a store to get the discount would be the next step and reduce the hassle you are having.
ETA: Also, I'm not sure what the current T&Cs are, but when I did it for my mum, I was told it could take 90 days to be credited to the account. As it was it was much less than that though.0 -
Online CS were unfortunately correct, in store with a copy of your code is the way you will most likely get it applied. Post #2 is also correct with the 60-90 timescale.
Where did you get your contract from, was it O2 store/telesales/online or through a third part like CPW or P4U?Newish member, lover of technology and all things mobile0
