I'm paying £14 a month (for 10 months) for £50k contents & £500k Buildings through swinton/legal & general. This includes Legal Cover.
Its not always cheaper going through quidco.
Also call insure.co.uk as they said they'd match the swinton quote. Same insurer.

it has to be taken in context.

I'm paying just over £9 pm for Buildings and Contents. Paid something similar last year via Halifax, and this year, Barclays matched it less £1, and so got £50 (thanks MSE). Don't know if it would work for Contents only.
PS - should have got cashback via Quidco, but had to telephone so didn't get it, but was happy with the £50. Worth trying them perhaps via Quidco.
PS am also in Cheshire.
