If You Know What I Mean.
Inkie is also (used to be???) a Midwife MW.
The person asking Inkie already ahd one child, they were asking about a section plus sterilisation as their 2nd was born.0 -
Do check this, but I was told that having tubes tied at the same time as Caesarean could lead to an increased risk of failure - something about the tubes being slightly swollen at that point?
NOT what you want ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

I was told the same thing, but decided to go for it anyway. I was steralised during my 3rd C/sec. That was 5 years ago yesterday........ And we havent had a problem0 -
does anyone know as i had a section with by baby if i got pregnant again would that mean that i would have a planned c-section? - sorry to jump in on your thread!0

It depends on why you had a section. Our consultant recommends a trial labour for someone who has had a previous section, and after 10 hours if all isn't well he will section you. However in some cases, mine, he told me not even to try as the problem I had delivering no 1 would probably happen again.
I had a deep transverse arrest with daughter no 1. After two sections our consultant will not allow you to labour. planned section no argument. Check what the policy is, and also ask about whether or not your consultant will induce you after a section cause mine refuses to in case of rupture. He allows you to go 10 days late and then books you in for a section if you've had a previous section. He also advises leaving at least a year between pregnancies......not that I did!!0 -

I was allowed to have a trial labour with my second child or a planned C/sec withever I wanted. However she was still breech at 36 weeks so went for the planned C/sec. She ended up being an emergency deciding to come at 37 weeks.
I was not given an option but a planned C/sec with my third.0
