texts not getting through

I have a nokia 6280 on 3 mobile and when texting the other half on her Motorola w375 on virgin throuble is when I send a longish text it dosent seem to get through , anyone know if this is either or the phones or the networks?

I had the same problme.Called up 3 customer service on 333 from handset and the problem was solved immediately. they will adivice you to change some handset settings
