The link above appears OK, but do be careful about getting software from anywhere but a well-recognised source or the program website. there's a lot of misdirection goes on, with spyware-riddled software pruporting to be the real thing

Maybe not, but neither T4i nor that site elaborate on the fact that Release Candidate 1 means that this version is in beta-testing.

I'll be interested in hearing from our techie pundits before I use it.

I dont force anyone to use ANY software. The reason for forums is to INFORM others of information. Like with any software you use at your own risk.

I posted the fixes for the new release to give u an idea if you think its worth upgrading. I've installed it and it found one more entry that the 1.3 version didnt pick-up. Worth it in my eyes.....

RC1 normally means its the last build before final, there could however be rc2 however thats normally rare.

I hadn't realised that "RC1" meant it was still in testing, albeit the final phase - one of those things I've seen loads of times without really thinking about what it meant

It may be that it will not update, like my Mozilla Firefox 1.0 PR, and will be installed over or removed first
