Imho, VF seem to be concentrating on buying up half the mobile world.
That seems to be their priority rather than giving their loyal British customers a decent service.
And as for 4G, that's the biggest farce out! Plenty places around the oil capital of Europe where you still struggle to get a decent 2G signal, never mind 3G. Shame on them!!
At the other end of Scotland, was trying to download an e-mail attachment in the centre of Hawick yesterday, and even on 3G it was a no go!!
What's the point of fancy smartphones when outwith the south of England people like VF are failing miserably to support them?!

Just awful coverage and appalling attempt to coverup their crap network?

I don't see it like that.

None of the networks are perfect, they operate under technical and commercial compromises.

My experience is that Vodafone and O2 have the best call (2G) coverage and "3" have the best 3G coverage (and probably the best network performance in terms of real data throughput) but the worst call coverage, particularly within buildings.

Perhaps the UK should regulate to encourage universal 3G coverage but that is something you should lobby Ofcom for !

I wouldn't argue with you re VF's 2G coverage, but as I've already said, most of us are going about with smartphones which work best with 3G, and VF are sadly lacking in this, in my experience!

Only EE & Three are best for smart phones.The other big two are hopeless & best avoided in my opinion.
