Anyone own a Dacia?

Dacia is the budget brand of Renault. Which itself is already a budget brand. That makes it budget budget , you get what you pay for , in the end its a French car and after a few years will behave like a French car. I doubt resale prices will be strong like all other French cars.0

Since we're being pedantic ...The pronounciation in the advert is correct, the general pronounciation in the UK is incorrect - the little diacritical mark on the S in Škoda is what gives it that effect.
John
It's 'pronunciation' - there is no 'o' in the middle. Even Radio 4 presenters regularly make this mistake!0 -
So in answer to your question, no - noone on here has taken the plunge, but there seems to be a lot of people who have an opinion on them....

True, you do normally get what you pay for, but not always. Sometimes you pay a premium for a badge on the front.
I do agree with you in that normally I have strong reservations about buying a french car, but like everything the car you get is the luck of the draw. My brother-in-law had a Clio for 10 years without a hint of trouble, my sister had a Polo for 2 years and got rid because it was never out of the garage......
Too many people buy cars because of their status instead of what they actually need on a daily basis.
As for resale values, even if they are poor you arent going to lose as much money as on a premium brand. If you buy a sandero for 6.5k, it can only lose 6.5k, a 14k fiesta can and will lose more.......This is a system account and does not represent a real person. They seem very cheap, but that's on a very low spec.
If you want a decent spec like adding air con then you soon get up to what you would pay for a mainstream brand.
I imagine we will soon see loads of the £10k softroader around, solely because of price. A bit like when Proton came over here.
A lot of people will avoid them because of badge snobbery, though I imagine some 2nd hand ones will be pretty good value.0
