I keep getting this messge: What shall i do:
Back up your files immediately to prevent information loose and then contact the computer manufacturer to determine if you need repair or replacement.
1) Start the back process
2) Ask me later (if you disk fails before the next warning, you could loose all programmes and document on the disk.
Immediate steps:
Because the disk failure will cause a loose to all programmes, files, documentss on your computer you should back up all important documents immediately, try notto use your computer before repair or replacement
Which disk is faulty?
The following hard disks are reporting failure:
Disk name
ST31000528AS
VOLUMEN C:\:\D:\
Thanks in advance

First backup your files asap if you haven't already done so - priority.
Test the drive with Seatools.

Replace the hard drive if necessary.0 -
Buy another Seagate disk, put it in a USB caddy and Seatools will help you transfer everything to the new disk.0

Back up everything first,
then run CHKDSK C: /F /V /R from a Command Prompt window. You will have to reply Y to the message "Run this after next reboot?" (I paraphrase) and reboot. It will take a long time (probably much more than an hour), even longer if your disk is big.
Then do the same for thedrive. You may not need to reboot to get this to operate.
