Quick post from me but I do read every day and think of you all.
Glad you are sleeping better Halight.
Hope you enjoy the rugby Camelot - I was up in town earlier and there were loads and loads of Welsh fans(a group of 118 118 men - bbbrrr they will be cold in those shorts though, and some more in Welsh onesies - at least they will be warmer) - lots of red anyway. We went out for a couple of drinks on Rose St last night after work to get some of the atsmosphere. the singing was wonderful. What is it about Welsh men eh? How come they can all sing so well? Anyway, DH is off to the game.
Went to the hairdresser's today and have had slightly darker highlights. I'm really pleased. Nicely cut too.
Planning an afternoon of reading my book, cups of tea, a guided meditation later (loads on YouTube if you fancy trying one and didn't know where to look), and prob rounding off the afternoon with a snooze accompanied by the sound of a snoring dog. Bliss!
Keep warm everyone and (((hugs))) to those feeling low.

Went to mr m's for flowers for the mums, and bought a load of their 3 for a tenner meat and a mahoosive chicken for £3 as the whole chooks are on offer. Have divided the meat into smaller portions for the freezer, the bigger packs in there will be batch cooked next week for freezer meals, must get ready to go back to work! Have shin beef and sausages thawing for a steak pie for tomorrow at DD's request, extra stew will also go back in the freezer once cooked. Will roast the chicken on Monday and do something with the extra meat, so once again freezer will be full, but of useful food for a change! Had a bit of a struggle finding a card for MIL, but got one in the end. Now am watching the rugby with a cup of coffee, strange to be watching it quietly, would normally be there or be listening to OH screaming at the tv! First time I've been able to sit and watch any of this tournament!RIP Iain

Shopping all done and put away. Hubby is having a nap and i am having a bit of a rest before i start tea. Fish tonight i think. Youngest is out and the girls are chewing a treat.
Daughter popped in earlier to collect her parcels/birthday cards/gifts and to drop my Mothers day and gift off. Seems strange to think that this time next year she will be a Mother herself.

Afternoon All
Well I have been bit hit & miss this last week or so, not even managing to read some days!
So belated Birthday & Anniversary wishes to those missed I know RR had a birthday in the last few days :bdaycake:
Been travelling back currently at Maidstone, on to DS's tomorrow, he is cooking dinner and has asked if we can fit the Rugby in too! His F is going to her Mum's to have the day with her, not sure how this is going to work when they are married! Hopefully alternate years like Xmas, but not convinced, not been with DS for a couple of years now.
They were celebrating at home last night his promotion should help with the wedding plans.
GWS to all the poorlies, ((hugs)) all round. Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Evening all
Delurking to say Jackie O what about making chocolate brownies with your dark chocolate. I did the other week and they were delicious. I bet the boys would like them. Easy too!
Chocolate Brownies
Preheat oven to 180c /160c fan.
Put 150grm(5oz) butter and 200grm(7oz) dark choc into a large pan and heat gently until melted and smooth.
Take pan off the heat and beat in 3 large eggs, 2tsp vanilla extract, 250grm(9oz) caster sugar(I used granulated) and 100grm(3 1/2 oz) plain flour.
Pour into a prepared 8" square tin. I got mine free with a well known make of butter the other year(I lined it with greaseproof paper) and bake for 30/35 mins until a shiny crust forms.
Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares. Cuts better if allowed to cool overnight.
You won't notice it's made with dark chocolate!
