If they are a Solicitors then they will be registered with the law society and you should find all their details on their website
    http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/find-a-solicitor/

They only usually process letters for a DCA as a solicitors letters tend to get a better response rate. They are paid per letter and won't be interested in looking into the details of your case or spending any time on it.
We have an acquaintance that does this for a DCA (he was struck off for a year or two so it's just about the only work he can get.) He gets well paid for very little work (mostly done by his PA.
There are three types of people in this world. Those who can count and those who can't.

If they are still part of the NCO group, then their address is
    NCO Europe Ltd.
    Old Docks House
    Watery Lane
    PR2 1AU
    Preston
This is the most up to date address I found from NCO website. Don't know if that helps?

Ok that is a good idea...I think I will do that...I am just worried that they will send bailiffs round or does it have to be taken to court before that happens? I'm also worried that they haven't changed my address, I told them my new address but they don't seem to have acknowledged I have moved, so If i am taken to court I won't receive any letters...?

Do you have royal mail redirection? Worth it for a while if you can afford it.

Has to go to court and you have to not pay before bailiffs.

Also send a complaint letter in the post, signed for, about refusing to respond to your communication relating to offers of payment.

tell them you will refer to FOS if no satisfactory response is received within 8 weeks.

I've done this a few times, and I received several letters regarding the offer. they hate complaints as it costs them several hundred quid if referred to FOS. Hard to ignore.

"Has to go to court and you have to not pay before bailiffs" Sorry not sure what you mean by this?

I haven't lived at my old address for over a year...I told NCO this and they never changed it, can't really afford to redirect mail, I will add that on to my letter about complaining. Thanks

  • "Westminster Solicitors" is a trading style of Naughtons Solictors.

    Sean Naughton
    Solicitor
    Telephone: 0191 501 8046
    Fax: 0191 501 8346
    Email: sean@naughtons.co.uk

Sean Naughton is the only solicitor at Naughtons.

Naughtons appears to be the in-house "lawyer" for NCO; Orange (now EE) use NCO for debt collection; so if you get a "Solictors Letter" from Westminster its' nbothing more than something from NCO to try to scare you. And if it doesntwork, EE will simply shift it off NCO and use the next debt collector on their roster.

If you have a dispute over the bill (and Im assuming that if it has gone to NCO more than 8 weeks has passed) simply send to CISAS.

Bailiffs don't come round unless a company as taken you to court, a CCJ has been granted and you fail to pay what the court ordered.

Yes, get them to change your address as they could send court papers
To the old one, get a CCJ and you would never know. Send recorded.

UPDATE - Hello, I sent them a letter 4 weeks ago, recorded delivery also enclosed was a check for £25, I have tracked the letter and I can see it was signed for and the check has been cashed.

I have still not received any communication from them to say they have changed my address or that they are willing to accept what I am willing to pay.

I am very concerned because I have not lived at the address they have for over a year, therefore I have no idea what post is being sent there.

I am sending them another letter tomorrow, recorded delivery with a another check for £25 enclosed.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
