OMG Has anyone seen the M&S Bank debit card?

It is a beautiful design by Sir Terrence Conran.

So my question is why can't other banks put some effort in to raise the quality of their card design?

Really? I think it's an ugly mess, but then I prefer the 'plain' and 'simple' type that people complain not enough effort has gone into!

Its so annoying that the monthly fee is so high. With what I consider a high fee does anyone know is the "customer service" matches the fee paid?

Has anyone on MSE actually got this account as a long term holder not as a carpet bagger after the £100 voucher offer and then shutting the account?

Beautiful? I'd say horrible.

Brilliant ethics for a bank though. "Lets reduce all our savings accounts to under 2% so we can spend that cash on getting someone to design our debit card".

Meanwhile people like Barclays say "Send us your picture and we'll put that on your card for the personal touch". Much better idea.

But either way, how often do you just get your debit card out to look at it? Its hidden in my wallet with only the top showing, and when I get it out I shove it in a slot and then hide it away again.

And I bet all those slating the M&S card love it really!

I don't care. It's just a piece of plastic with two chips and a magnetic strip. It's normally used just to pay in shops and to take money from ATM. Sometimes for scrapping ice from a windscreen.
