very confused with virgin media v sky broadband deals

Hi,

I'm with Sky, but have had a sky switcher letter through from virgin media, and I'm considering my options.

But I'm confused - I have unlimited broadband with Sky, because we were going over our 2GB limit on the free Sky broadband lite plan.

But on virgin media the most expensive broadband package only seems to give you 100Mb - isn't this less than 2GB?

O dear, the 2Gb cap refers to the amount of data you can use per month. As you state you went over this so you can use as much as you wish.

The 100Mb figure from Virgin refers to the speed of the connection. The plan refered to may or may not be limited to the amount of data you can use. It would appear that their package is unlimited subject to their fair usage policy.

Virgin will only answer standard questions ( ie they are keytappers ) I am in the throws of migrating from O2 and had a number of questions that they wouldnt or couldnt answer. I was also interested in moving the tv from sky but faired no better - result I will go elsewhere for L/l and B/b and freesat for the tv so they both loose
