  • ...and in Seasideville! The full on storm we had last night seems to have cleared the air. Glad you manage to relax with your book SA.

Weather not so good today, grey and dreary but dry all day until about 10 minutes ago.

When my hairdressers closed down a few weeks ago, although I found a new one, I decided to take the opportunity to start colouring my hair myself and save some money. I bought the colour a few weeks ago and finally plucked up the courage to use it today (after doing a patch test 48 hours ago). It looks great, I'm pleased with it. Just did the roots then combed it through the rest of my hair 10 minutes before I rinsed it off. All good :)

Made Mr SA sort through his trainers/canvas shoes as he was claiming he needed some new ones (even though he got 3 new pairs just 2 weeks ago). 12 pairs in total!!!!!!

First NSD of September today 1/18.

£3 bank loyalty reward money went to VSP -just a few quid short of £600 in there now :)

Soup made for work lunches. Need to get back on the diet/exercise wagon now. Didn't go to WW yesterday but weighed myself at home - 2lb on from the holiday :(

Not feeling the love for going back to work tomorrow :(
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Feeling the same about work too here SA. Three and a half years to retirement and it's really dragging now!:(

Good idea on the home colouring! Should save quite a few bob that way.

Mr SA is beginning to sound like a fashion conscious rapper what with his trainer collection! :rotfl:

Lucky you only 3.5 years to retirement SSG - it's around 10 for me until I can get state pension :( I have quite a few retired friends who say although I envy them that they're retired, they envy me for my "youth". You can't win!!

I'm apprehensive about work tomorrow as it's the sort of place where things can change a lot in 2 weeks. I could go back and have lost my desk/been replaced/on a different team/in a different building, etc. You're just a bum on a seat. Didn't used to be like that, it's a shame really, I can see it all going pear-shaped at some stage and it will all be down to bad management. Anyway don't get me on that subject.

Had a lovely relaxing bath earlier with candles and Chill radio station (can recommend Chill if you need to relax). Watched Corrie and now X Factor then I'm afraid it will be time to turn in if I'm to get up at 5am :(

Here we go again - for 4 weeks anyway, then it's Lanzarote time :)

Hi SA, I hope you're well.

You've sounded a bit down over the past few posts - I think I've only noticed because I took a bit of a MSE break so am just catching up now. I really hope you enjoy Lanzarote as thoroughly as it's possible to do because you work very hard and you have had to be very strong with Mr SA etc.

    Wishing you all good things!!
