Took the dog on the park this morning - what a nightmare! She was harassed by a husky and another big dog. She ran off and I had to run after her. I caught her and picked her up then the husky started jumping up at me, nearly knocked me over. Owner came over to apologise. Then had to go back to look for our dog's ball and the husky and other dog came over again and harassed our dog. Honestly why can't people control their dogs! Dog was really scared she's only tiny.

Started the September Scrimping challenge today. Quite looking forward to it as need to be careful this month. Small delivery from Mr M today for the stuff I forgot to add to Tuesday's order. Have made a meal plan right up until next Sunday, mainly using up stuff out of the freezer.

Hoping to make a start on DD's room this weekend. First thing to do is strip off the wallpaper then will assess the state of the plaster, I suspect it will need plastering unfortunately.

Got loads more washing dried today and have done loads of ironing. Most of the holiday clothes have gone back in the cases ready for Lanzarote.

Happy September everyone - let's hope it's a good one for us all :)

    Thought things were going well.

Mr SA has just had a fall in the shower, held on to it as he fell and pulled it out of the wall. Took ages to get him back up again and involved a stool in the end. Apart from a bruised knee and feeling shocked he is ok and fortunately the shower has slotted back onto the wall and doesn't appear to be broken. Told him he must lose some weight as he's too heavy to help up and he doesn't have the strength in his arms or legs to get himself up at the weight he is now.

  • Sorry to hear that :(. Glad nothing in the new bathroom is broken:eek: and it's mainly Mr SA's pride that took a battering Xx

He's ok now Lucky - he's got a beer and is watching the football (yawn). He's decided he'd like to go to Malta as they said on the TV the main language is English and football is never off the TV. I've sort of been there - my parents used to live there and returned to England 3 months before I was born. My dad was in the navy. Maybe this is why I love my sun :)

After a lovely, hot at times, sunny day it's now gloomy and raining. Sat outside reading my book this afternoon while Mr SA was having his siesta, it was bliss.

  • Hi SA. Just been catching up with all that's been happening with you since I went AWOL! What a year! Really impressed that you're back to exercising regularly after that awful accident. And you have a lovely new house as well! Glad that Mr SA's scan went ok ( or shall I now call him The Oldest Teenager in Ibiza!). As always I'm amazed at how much you do.

Busy day today. Went to Aldi this morning for the fruit deal, ended up buying quite a bit more but well stocked up for the week now and shouldn't have to buy anything else until next weekend apart from perhaps milk and bread.

DS and family came this afternoon, DGKs were so noisy and the dog was barking almost constantly. They bought me a lovely bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine for my belated birthday present. After they left Mr SA went for his nap and I opened the wine and read my book for a bit in the lovely warm sunshine. Bliss :)

Hope the weather has been just as nice for everyone else.
