Removal men dropped my washing machine

A few weeks ago, removal men dropped my washing machine down a flight of stairs completely smashing it. After they dropped it, they told us they were only insured for moving items in their original packaging and got in their van and drove off. We rang them and asked for their insurance details and they point blank refused to give us them.
What can we do? Thanks

Have you got legal cover on your home insurance, if so then report it to them.I hate migraines.0

Unfortunately we have no home insurance at all0
-
Have you paid them?
Is this a bona fide removal company?
Do they have a land line?0 -
Once he dropped it he told us "no charge" because he didn't finish the job (he left it down the flight of stairs)
He has a website and a mobile number, no landline

Is it a .co.uk website?
Was the charge he dropped worth more or less than the second hand washing machine0 -
Yes it is a .co.uk
He dropped the charge of £25 and the washing machine is still going for £250+ on ebay. It was just over £1000 new and they don't make the parts for it anymore0 -
Whats the name of the website?
If you don't want to broadcast it enter the web address in here and it should show his address. http://www.nominet.org.uk/uk-domain-names/about-domain-names/domain-lookup-whois/whois-tool0 -
£25 - this wasn't a full move to a new house then? Did you sign an order with the removal man?John0

Thank you. Although now what? I'm completely new to this complaining thing, I normally shut up and put up 0 -

No it wasn't a full move, we just hired him to take a washing machine upstairs (we live in flats and it was up 2 flights of stairs) we'd got everything else moved in the day before but couldn't manage the washing machine
And no, nothing signed0
