Hi All,
I've got the above phone and I'm very happy with it, however when receiving texts and missed calls the message appears in a small caption along the top of the screen. Is it possible to get such messages fully displayed across the screen?
Thanks in advance

When a text comes in it should display line by line across the top of notifications bar, They it will turn in to a small icon like you say. If you drag down from the notifications bar you can easily read the message, Thats how I do it on my nexus 4 anyway.
Do you mean you want them displayed in full on n the home screen until you read them?0 -

You probably need a 3rd party app, something like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nlucas.popupnotificationslite&feature=search_result0

You can add the native Messaging widget to both the homescreen and lockscreen. That will achieve what you want.604!0

How is this done?0 -
Adding the widget wont achieve what you want (based on my opinon of what you're after), but to do it tap the app drawer button, tap widgets, then find the messaging widget. Hold your finger on it then drop it on the screen where you want it.
For the lock screen one, turn the screen on but instead of unlocking the phone, swipe right until you see a +, tap it then add the messaging widget.0 -
I quite like an app called "SMS popup"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.everythingandroid.smspopup&hl=en
You can configure it to pop-over the lock screen.0
