Need to get car insurance renewal down - please help

Called my daughter insurance company yesterday to find out how much it would cost to change vehicles and was shocked to hear that they wanted another £390, her existing car is a 53 corsa 1.2sxi and the new car is an 04 corsa 1.2sxi so same car but 5 months newer. Their explanation was that if she already owned the car for a year the price would be £44 but because she hadn't yet purchased it the price is dearer. They must make it up as they go along.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
