Vodafone SIM only contract...

Hiya,
My contract is up soon, and as I am currently happy with my iPhone 4, I was looking at getting a SIM only deal (I'm on Vodafone so was looking at Vodafone obv!)
On the website, all the plans show a limit for their wifi access (750mb being the highest) My question is, does this include wifi in the home? Or is this just when you are 'out and about' We are connected to the wifi at home all the time, so naturally the majority of downloads/web access come via that... and I'm fairly certain we'd use more than 750mb per month!
Also, if I cancelled my contract at the end of the term, and got a SIM only from another network, do I just phone Vodafone and get them to unlock the phone?
Thanks

that doesn't include wifi in the home, or from a bog standard wifi router. it means using special wifi hot spots around the country (the vodafone website should have more info on this)
BTW vodafone sim only deals are very expensive when compared to others. you MIGHT get a decent deal if you tell them you are leaving (ie request your PAC to transfer your num to another netowrk), but then again, you might not.
How many minutes / txts / mbs of data do you need?
GiffGaff do 250 mins + unlim txts + 1gb data for £10 a month on PAYG
Three also do reasonably priced SIM only plans
If you want to move networks you need to ask Vodaphone to unlock your handset. Orange charged me £20 to unlock my iPhone4, I imagine it would be about the same?
If you want to keep your number, ask Voda for a PAC code and give it to your new supplier when your SIM arrives.0 -
Get the phone unlocked by Voda while you are on contract. AFAIK, they do this for free for pay monthly customers:

Hi each peach pear plum,
As 19lottie82 has advised the 750MB of Wi-Fi included with some of our price plans can only be used via BT Openzone hotspots.
In regard to unlocking your phone grumbler has kindly linked you to the correct online form to enable you to request the unlocking code and I can clarify that this would be provided to you free of charge.
Kind regards,
Lee

Consider Ovivo (PAYG) which runs on the vodafone network.
You get 150 minutes, 150 texts and 400mb free each month. If you need more they have bundles starting at £5.0
