Junk leaflets and cards

We stuck "No Junkmail" sticker on the letter box but pizza takeaway and taxi firms ignore it and leave cards and leaflets. The thing is, they are also littering our front path as well as putting them through in our letter box. I am truely fed up with it and thought about writing to each and every one of them that next time they do it, I'll be sending them a fine of £200 or whatever.... Has anyone done this?

You can't "fine" anyone. You can send an invoice but local firms will probably laugh at it."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I will send them an invoice then.eyelinerprincess wrote: »You can't "fine" anyone. You can send an invoice but local firms will probably laugh at it.
If they don't pay, I'll take them to court. It only cost £70 to register for small claim...still pocket £130 if I bill them for £200 which should go towards cleaning cost. Who knows may be I can make a living out of this because there are so many different companies. :mad:0 -
And how have you come up with this £200 cost exactly?"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I agree! I absolutely hate junk mail/emails. There are then emails that dont have the unsuscribe option, that really annoys me. :mad:Happy

You would need to show that you had lost money or incurred costs because of the leafleting. Not sure you could demonstrate sensibly how chucking some leaflets in the recycling would cost £200.0

The reason you are still getting junk mail forced through your letterbox is that the people delivering them probably don't read English!Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Well may be I should stick a sign that says "£1000 fine for littering" too. Just like some private parking space or council does it. They come to litter our front and expect to get business from us? I don't think so. Whether someone is coming to dump black bin bags or leaflet, rubbish is rubbish to me.You would need to show that you had lost money or incurred costs because of the leafleting. I think you can stop junk mail but I dont know about unaddressed letters...from pizza places etc...Happy

That's not my problem quite frankly phill. The reason you are still getting junk mail forced through your letterbox is that the people delivering them probably don't read English!
It's the firm who hires employees who can understand simple English or instruct them to watch out for such sticker. But they are not even sticking it in the letter box. First, I noticed a few taxi cards, then next day it grew more in numbers. (They are not replicating themselves, another taxi firm's )0
