I want to open a self select isa for 2013/14. I intend to have two or three unit trusts in it and drip in a total of £600 per month. Seems a bit of a minefield but does anyone know the cheapest fund platform for this. ? Hargreaves Lansdown, Best Invest, Cavendish etc? Thanks in advance.

It all depends on what you invest in, and even how much and/or for how long in some cases.

Sorry, this is again not a considered response. You are getting a bit of a reputation for such responses.
You (and I) know just about nothing about what exactly the OP will invest in, so we are in no position to name a single platform as the suitable one.0 -

I would consider this in 2 parts
a) work out who has the best tools to work out which funds (or other) to invest in, how to create a good portfolio across your investments and how to keep it good
b) work out the best cost effective way of investing and keeping your portfolio good i.e. this maybe not the cheapest
e.g. The difference between the best (30% - Standard Life) and the worst (1% - Kames) UK equity fund last year was quite significantGetting more passionate about my investments the older I get. Should have got more into this when I was younger.0 -
