How about a nice day trip out somewhere together somewhere that is pleasant but meaningful. My grandson is 11 and making his confirmation in a few weeks and I am going to take him out for the day somewhere as a volunteer. I am looking for opportunities at the dogs trust, petting zoo, community food garden, community beach clean up or something like that. We get to spend time together doing something worthwhile together. The expenditure will come in a pizza or chippie with ice cream for afters. Take a couple of pics of the two of you on the day and frame the memory for him. That will be worth more to him than any crucifix, rosary or bible. As someone else mentioned, he could end up swamped by gifts that get buried in drawers afterwards. Whatever you decide, enjoy the day.:T0
