talktalk value line rental / moving house

I have been with TT for 1 year now and not had any problems (apart from occasional slow connections)
Last week, I renewed the value line rental for one more year. We will be moving house in 5 months.
1. I read somewhere that they will refund the remaining 7 months after we move but I can't find it on the website any more. Is this correct?
2. Direct debit for next month was not taken yesterday - does this have anything to do with the VLR renewal?
3. We will be staying at the next place for 9 months exactly. Not sure they can be trusted to move our account (don't care about keeping the phone number), so should I try to transfer the value line rental or would it be safer just to sign up with someone else (and overpay by 3 months)?

No. VLR is not refundable under any circumstances if you cease your service, but if you migrate the service to another address then it will go with you. However, a home move normally starts you on a new 12m minimum term contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I've managed to find this page on the talktalk forum which says VLR is refundable

Actual wording is as follows:
Will I get any refund if I cancel my Value Line Rental?
No, but you will get a credit upon termination of your TalkTalk/AOL package. No free lunch, and no free laptop
