I agree with chanz4 an Experian score 869 is very low as most people have between 995-999 so I would expect you are in financial ruin or missed/late payments are scattered everywhere.0 -
no i've never missed any payments, looking at report what i can see most of my records were last updated back in 2008/2009 which is very old. Also there's no search record either.
I don't understand why experian is not up to date with my credit history, but noddle giving me everything up to date.0 -
What the others are getting at is that the Experian credit score is b*llocks and you should ignore it. You could have CCJs and it'd give you a 999, or have an immaculate payment history and get far worse. It is a waste of your money to buy it, it is a waste of your time to look at it, it is a waste of my precious lifespan mentioning it. You would get a more accurate "credit score" with a Ouija board trying to contact your dead nan.urs sinserly,

I spoke to various teams in Loyds and they can't help much, only thing they've offered is to remove the credit search record that will take 5 days. They're also suggesting to apply again over telephone but that will do another credit search.
I'm confused now, shall i wait 5 days so that credit search record is removed or apply via telephone again now? I can't wait long as i've to do balance transfer by end of this month, please advise.
Thanks
I applied a week or so ago (on a Sunday) and the same happened to me
Also phoned up-no help really.
I have the Lloyds Vantage with On-line banking. I looked on-line the next day (Monday) at my Vantage accounts and lo and behold there was the details of the CC as well.
Well actually there were TWO CC's
I rang again (Monday) and got them to cancel one card and did several BT over the 'phone . Took a while but got there. I could only do this as I knew the CC number from the On-line banking details
BT were completed from all other CC's by FRIDAY :T
So very speedy to execute.
Card arrived about 10 days later.0 -
I applied for lloydstsb credit card last Tuesday when I logged into online banking and saw a message saying I was guarantee for a credit card. So I went ahead with the application but got rejected straight away. I was frustrated and confused as well. I rang them next morning, they were not sure why my application was declined as their computer shows I was eligible for a credit card. I was transferred to the credit department, the guy on the phone checked my current account first and put me on hold for about 2 minutes then came back to me said ' it might be computer's error or something, would you mind going through the application with me over the phone ? ' . So I did, when we completed the application and I was told that I have been approved with £3,500 credit limit. I received the agreement form two days later and signed & sent it back. On Monday, the credit card details has already appeared in my online banking.
By the way, they did search callcredit.0 -
Thanks guys, yes i'll apply apply over the phone today for the same card, fingers crossed.
Btw i phoned experian and all i had to do is update my current address which i did and everything is up to date now, my rating is 9780 -
Just did it over phone, and they offered me 0% BT for 6 months only
I'll wait for 5 days so that first search is removed then i'll try either Halifax or Barclays.
I just hate this credit checking system, never thought its gonna be that hard to do BT.0
