I can't believe that Tesco bank would have given a student a limit of £3500.
What status and income did OP put on his application?0 -

Your address is your current fixed abode.
As your parent's address isn't your current fixed abode then no it isn't your address. It's your parents address :TCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Your driving license is corroborating evidence of your address. The ID and proof of address are not considered in isolation and due to the money laundering checks and rules, it has become even more imperative that your 'official' documentation proving your name and address are kept scrupulously up to date.
Dont ignore what I said about a fine if you are caught with an invalid address on your license, it may sound like a 'technical' crime but in reality, it is anything but. Trust me. A simple oversight and an overzealous (bad tempered copper) and you can end up with a whole heap of trouble to contend with.
I suggest you get all your documents in order and backing each other up, get them sorted out and then complain to the bank - although I doubt you'll get far. Banks are definately starting to pick and choose customers these days, so dont make enemies unless you have to....just smile sweetly and comply - at least in this as you absolutely cannot function in this world without a bloody account.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

If everything is registered at parents' address how would the copper know that his DL has the "wrong" address?0

When they speak to the DVLA and find that your car isnt registered there either etc....and when you have to produce your license at the police station...
I dont recommend lying to a police officer...Debt Free! Long road, but we did it
