Tesco Clubcard Credit Card

Hello all,

I have just signed up for one of these and registered the card on-line at tescobank.com. All good so far, except is there any way I can tie it into my existing Clubcard?

I don't really want to be running two clubcards concurrently, so any help would be much appreciated!

I'm due to get mine any day now so will have a look when it has arrived. But I remember it did ask me for my Clubcard number during the application process.

I imagine this is a first step to save a call - nothing wrong with that.

Just a tip, when paying for petrol just use your tesco credit card (once linked to your club card), not your club card as well as you get more points that way.

5 points for every £4 spent on Tesco fuel using a credit card. That's more than twice the amount you get with a standard Clubcard!

Where as i think if you use the club card its 1 point for every £2

Ahh, so it basically takes the lower points award rather than both?

Does the same apply to when you shop in a Tesco supermarket?

No in the supermarket you get the points for your shopping and also the points for paying on your card.

Should link automatically, mine did, it appeared as UK TESCO BANK as the type of clubcard under "My Cards".

As for petrol, use the credit card as a clubcard then pay with anything else and you'll get the 1 point per £1 - I use Tesco CC and Barclaycard Freedom to pay, getting double points on both.

I'm a bit confused here...you can use the credit card as a Clubcard but still pay on another card?
