Dear Lee,

I signed up 2 new contracts for my children on different accounts. Vodafone website shows £10.50 (inc.vat)

But how come vodafone is charging me £12.30? It does not make sense if the web is showing £10.50 we should be charged at £10.50 and not £10.50 (inc.vat) plus vat again?

Can you have a look at my account please. If you could give me your email address & I can email it to you instead of posting it here.

One a/c has already shown the invoice to be paid on 13/3 the other a/c still no invoice therefore, I do not know how much vodafone is charging me if its not £10.50.

I wanted to chat online with your customer service so they can sort it out for me but I can't seem to find the online chat/box to click on your website.

Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)

Did you have a sim only for 12 months or 30 days?
As 12 months is £10.50 per month and the 30 day plan is £13 for the same airtime.

Mine are 12 months contract. But its common sense isn't it that if it states (inc.vat) means the price £10.50 already included vat.

If they are both new accounts and the first payments it may be the billing cycle ????

No silk - its fixed rate, infact they are charging me a month in advance therefore how can they charge me a pro-rata rate? Anyway the invoice shows £2.05 as a VAT.

Service charges Your price plan *inc prorating*
    26 Feb to 2 Apr £10.25

3 Months No Extra Data Charges *inc prorating*
    26 Feb to 2 Apr £0.00

    Total before VAT £10.25
    VAT at 20% on £10.25 : £2.05

    Total for this bill £12.30

    Total
    £12.30
by Direct Debit on or after 13 March 2013

Vodafone is employing somebody who does not know anything about VAT & I bet the call center /billing department is not in UK!

    First of all it should be £8.75/month + 20% vat = £10.50

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yep looks like the billing cycle
£8.75 times 12 divided by 365 to give daily rate

Then daily rate times the 35/36 days they are charging plus the vat etc works out roughly the £12.30 they are charging you.

Thank you Silk - but they shouldn't do that as its so confusing & misleading:D

Its so happen that the total bill from 26/2-2/4 comes up to £10.50 thats what throws me:rotfl:

I thought they were scamming me £2.05 extra vat for VAT men x'mas bonus;)
