Time for a new contract - advice please

Options
All, I'm just looking for a bit of advice.

My contract with t-mobile is coming to an end and having talked to the retentions team, I will be leaving. I want a new phone as my current phone is knackered.

I really like the sony xperia z and can currently get it on o2, unlimited minutes, texts and 1gb of data for £27 pm and £20 upfront. MY concerns with this is that 1GB of data, may not be enough, but this is somewhat mitigated by o2 capping internet usage rather than charging for overuse.

Additionally, i am unsure about what the impact of Telefonica's financial difficulties will be and am uneasy over locking into a 24 month contract with them.

The other thing is I live and work in london, and having used my friends s3 on THREE, data seems to be a lot quicker than what i got on t-mobile. I've also heard that Three will be moving all customers on to 4g for free if they have capable phones.

Finally,. with the release of the htc one, and the announcement of the s4 on friday next week, i'm very tempted to wait- BUT will that £27pm deal still be available.

Other information:
I dont want an iphone.
Most of my phone time will be used on the internet. I also like watching tv shows on it so a 5 inch screen is desirable.

Wanted to hear what thoughts you guys have and am thankful for any constructive opinions.

I have an xperia Z and I'm averaging about 29mb per day, which would see 1gb or near in a month luckily I'm on an unlimited plan, I don't watch tv shows too often, bit of this n that news clips.
As for the 5" screen, I have a Ray as well, and to be honest you can watch stuff on there just as fine.

I'm in the same boat. I'm looking at a HTC One, having been to one of their roadshows last week I was very impressed with what it had to offer. Orange, my current provider, didn't seem interested in keeping me as a customer and couldn't match anything I'd found elsewhere. Nor were the high street competitive.

I'm quite a heavy internet user on mine, albeit most of mine is done at home where I'm on wifi, but generally clock up about 300mb per month of internet.

I've found a HTC One for £21 a month via Mobile Phones Direct (£115 upfront for the phone, but I can get a good price by selling my old HTC on Ebay to recoup some of that). Worth looking a USwitch and Money Supermarket.

    Hope that helps

I'm also at the end of my contract and decided to go for a big screen note 2. Already got my pac from orange who had no interest in keeping me.

Cheapest I've seen is with three, 300 minutes and unlimited data. Mobiles.co.uk have it 70 for phone and 25 per month. Buymobilephones are doing free phone but 30 per month.
