Morning all................the room of doom is cleared!!!! Have a boot full still to take to dump or charity chops and 3 crates of stuff to ebay, but the desk is clear, you can see the floor and it's useable again!!!! My coz was wonderful, careful not to interfere just to encourage and make suggestions. every time I go upstairs I open the door and smile. Just needs a dust and a clean and I'm happy with it. Was absolutely shattered by the end of the day.
Sun is shining here and washing ready to go on the line, but very cold and a hard frost in the night. Then gym trip and must settle down to work project for the rest of the day.
Lunch will be a sandwich and dinner tortillas with loads of veg and a bit of bacon.
Am feeling a bit lost without some knitting to do now that jumper is finished. Have some wool that I bought on ebay, but cannot find a pattern for it even on ravelry, so will maybe try some tension squares and find a way to use that rather than buy more. It's roughly a chunky and I know the metereage so I am sure I will find something.
Hope the sun shines on you all today, glad you slept a bit better halight, but I'm joining the chorus that says you should see the doctor!
    Hugs to all.

jackieo I read that blog yesterday too. She gas some great recipes on there. It's so inspiring and I do love a bit of blog reading. The cat man was a bit unusual, he had a lot of Doctor Who memorabilia too.

I've put a bolognese in the slow cooker for dinner. I finish work late this afternoon and have a dental check up straight after. It's days like that I cave in a get a take away. So I'm feeling virtuous already. I've also got a free lunch at work today.

Going to meal plan tonight for the rest of the week. I have £25 and all my store cupboard so I should manage easily until Sunday.

    Hi and welcome.

I miss our slow cooker. It broke last year and we have not replaced it yet.
Been using a crok pot In the oven on low to do stuff that we could have done in the slow cooker.

I also fancy one of the halogen cookers. That sit on ya work top and cook with this bulb. They look good, Do I need one ? no not really, Do I really need to replace the slow cooker ? No not really the oven dose the same Job when its on low.

But they are useful things, And With the price of the Gas and electric bills going up. Slow cookers and other items like that should work out cheaper than cooking with a normal oven

TTFTM blooming Eck I'm tired out just reading what you've done already
Halight glad you slept better but you really should go the docs
    NLJ isn't it a great feeling when you've done a room:D

It's lovely here the early frost has gone and the sun is shining.
I've woken up with a sore throat and a cold so feel a bit rubbish, so going to take it easy today.
I do need to make chicken soup though as the leftovers need using, plus it will do me good, hopefully.
Otherwise going to have a rest and try and get better.
Dh has all his seed trays lined up on the windowsill ready to plant up, lots of veg to get started so should reduce the food bill in the summer.
We grew salad leaves last year which were great and saved us a fortune as we eat salad most nights.
Anyway best get on, enjoy your day J x

    Hi all,

i did get off to sleep eventually. I put some background music on softly to try to push the thoughts/worries i'd got out of my head. It worked for a time until my son came in and woke me up to tell me he had put his 10mm stretcher in his ear and it didnt hurt.... Yes, thanks for that lad! He's a lot closer to me than my other children. Not because he's still at home but because out of all 5 he is the one most like me personaility wise. We had a lovely chat last night about his career and stuff.

    Jobs for today:

[STRIKE]Garden duties (which this year will only consist of getting up the dog !!!!! and
watering plants that i have grown).[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Dust up and down[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean cooker[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Bathroom[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Vacuum downstairs[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Report three huge potholes in my road. My MBC website here i come![/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Tea will be lasagne i think[/STRIKE]

Have a good day all and for those of us who have the sun....enjoy it!

Morning all, and it's a nice sunny one as well.

In a moment I'm going to go for a short walk, and will drop off a couple of things at the recycling point.

Then, the main job of the day is decluttering. Last week I brought down some things in the loft, including some of my late parents things, as I feel the time is right to let more things go.

There should be a fair few things that will go to eBay, and as it's such a bright day, I'll be able to get them photographed as well.

I've ordered some large plastic storage boxes from eBay to store the things I want to keep. I had hoped they would be delivered today, but the're not marked as dispatched yet.

Also waiting for a call back from the person I left a message with yesterday about doing a quote for cutting back the shrubs in the garden. Sometimes, I wonder if people WANT the work, as it quite often happens they never call back.

Dinner tonight is likely to be salmon

    Have a good day.

    Morning all!
Still chilly, but the sun is shining. Load of jeans out drying, 2nd WM load nearly finished, kitchen and bathroom cleaned, cats loo disinfected and refilled, hall and living room tidied and hovered, and have paused for coffee before I contemplate the ironing, which needs doing as I am quickly running out of tops to wear! Can you tell I was up early??????
Going to my friends his afternoon to have a look at her pc, it needs defragged and she doesn't know how. We will have lunch and a blether. DD has taken last nights leftovers to work for lunch, so will need to rummage something out the freezer for her dinner too. I am shattered already, but maybe I will manage some sleep tonight if I have tired myself a bit more physically, we will see!
Right, off for a browse before the ironing, have a good day all!
