My Desk top is very slow

Is all the preloaded software still on it ?
Looks like it might pre loaded with Norton and lots of other programs you dont need.

Get rid of McAfee and use Avast, Avira or MSE.
PS: keeping your critical data backed up to a flash drive is better than nothing, but not at all secure-they can fail at any time-or just get lost too easily.

Then download and install Free Avast.

It comes with a lot of PC's and broadband deals-that doesn't mean you have to use it!
It's about the worst AV program around-that's why they bundle it so heavily.
