On Virgin TV can you rearrange channel lineup ??
I cannot see option to do this anywhere.
On NTL you could rerrange/move channel lineup.
eg.
-move News channels adjacent BBC1 etc.
-move all Unscubscribed channels to the end
(although not problem as they don't display Unsubscribed channels anymore)

They did an upgrade a couple of weeks ago and the facility to rearrange the channel order and move the unsubscribed ones to the bottom has been removed. The only way I can work around it is to use the 'favourites' setting but it won't let you group channels together as you used to. Real pain as the old way was so handy.0

Although main reason I used to use before was to drop unsubscribed channels to the bottom (not needed now, as they don't display these anymore).
It seems they don't display unsubscribed channels anymore, which is excellent, as it was a pain going through masses of channels I could not see (I was on Basic TV pack). I wanted this feature as Freeview boxes have this feature.

Ps: I must say that I am pleased with changes Virgin Media are making on old NTL
(like the above, which was an annoying niggle)
In 12 years with NTL, I don't think I have ever seen such a useless company.
They never gave away any bonuses to try other channels etc.
Virgin are doing 1p movies, Virgin Central, speed upgrades, addressing peak congestion & that's just in 2 months !!
And I've reduced monthly payments by £20/month.0 -
Pity they have removed, thought I might be missing something & couldn't find.

VM are rolling out Telewest based software across the whole network . I will miss the channel arranging too , but on the whole I find the new guide better . Apparently the NTL sotware was quite "buggy" and hard to program for . VM had 2 different types of software for their cable TV boxes - one had to go . Maybe it can be addressed in a future upgrade ?Ps: I must say that I am pleased with changes Virgin Media are making on old NTL

Agreed . My parents had NTL/Cabletel for years , and while the services were good the CS was abysmal . I can remember my mum waiting upwards of 45mins to get through to speak to a human . When I moved into my own place I didnt want multiple bills/Direct Debits , NTL were doing the 3 for £30 and I took the plunge and signed up . A few months later I was billed for loads of movies I never watched (some at 3am and some when there was def no-one in the house) . Took ages getting through to CS and even then they didnt want to know . Only when I said I was going to cancel the DD did they act . Fault in the line - my account was credited . I began to think I had made a mistake signing up with them .
But I'm glad I've stuck with them . I think the service has never been better . I've never had so much as 1 mins downtime on my BB , TV or phone . I got a good retention deal recently and when I've phoned them in the last few months I've gotten through reasonably quickly (sometimes in the first ring when I've phoned in the early afternoon !!!).
Hopefully it will get even better when more of the NTL/Telewest consolidation filters through (VOD , billing) and hopefully they will be saving money , with which they can use to invest in more/better services .0 -

What I hated with NTL was ploughing through loads of unsubscribed channels to find channel I wanted.
I'm cynical & just thought Virgin/NTL was just an NTL rebrand.
Well whoever really owns Virgin Media, I think someone (Virgin people maybe) are making some good improvements, which I never saw much of with NTL.
