Ah, I see what you mean now - you wouldn't have the room to get a screwdriver, or allen key, or whatever is needed to those fittings that can be seen on the legs at the end.
You could, if you are any good at DIY, knock up some alternative brackets to be fitted on the internal corner which would do the equivalent job of supporting and bracing the sides to the end.

It's a nice idea Olias but not something i really want to have to do.0

How much room does the boxing in of pipes take - you say the actual space between the walls is slightly wider, that might give enough leeway0

Well, pay attention, that boy at the back.Order bedI would calculate every time there is the least doubt. Minute to collect the data. 30 seconds to calculate. Paying attention in maths at school has always served me well.
Take delivery
Assemble
Attempt to swing in the space
Fail
Disassemble
Arrange return
Await collection
What in essence I was trying to say was if the OP has an awkward shaped room and a big bed, he simply has to accept the fact that there will be no room to move the bed once assembled if he wants to max out the bed size.
Given this compromise which people like the OP and myself, 6ft 4" have to make, if it physically fits on a plan view then it's only likely suitable option.
Or to put it another way, even if Pythagoras says a bed will fit, then it probably isn't big enough for the OP:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

I am not sure loracan. I will check and report back later!
I am keen to resolve this as I had in my haste already ordered the bed and need to cancel it pretty sharpish if it is not suitable. Also as the alternative is a much more expensive ottoman bed I am keen to save my money if I can!0 -

Pay attention in the cheap seats, the OP has a small snigle. You won't get smaller than a 2'6" bed. In standard sizes that is.:D0 -
The value of Pythagoras is that it allows you to rule out some beds which a plan tells you would fit.cyclonebri1 wrote: »Given this compromise which people like the OP and myself, 6ft 4" have to make, if it physically fits on a plan view then it's only likely suitable option.

Because unlike you I read the OP.;)Hi
I am not sure if this is the best place to post so please forgive me if not.
I have a bedroom with a floor width of 204cm. The space from one wall to other is slightly wider as there are some pipes boxed in at floor level.
In this space I currently have a 2ft 6 standard length divan. I want to replace this with a 2ft 6 wooden bedframe which is 200cm long. However I am not sure that it will fit. I am guessing that there will not be enough clearance to turn the bed round if you see what I mean.
Is there any way of calculating what the maximum length is I can fit in the space?0 -
Whoosh.................straight over your head, lol.
