No idea what's for tea yet, will see what I can pull out of the freezer or what's reduced!! Positive vibes to all.Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
Morning All
Still dry here, have stripped my bed and will hang it out shortly, I think the wall to wall sunshine has finished but it is fairly mild. Got lots of washing dried outside yesterday as the wind was blowing the other way so the farmer's field smell wasn't around!
Had DS2 and GF here at the weekend which was good fun, he made 2 loads of bread (not very successful but the birds seem pleased!). Had friends over for dinner on Sat too, a lovely evening. Ate far too much over the weekend so will be cutting back today.
Tea will be lo from Saturday night which was a roast beef dinner. DD not in for tea as she is going out straight from work. Hope to go for a walk later.
Have a good week, Headlight watch that wrist. Take care. XX0 -
Morning everyone
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Dull, cloudy, no wind but dry - and no rain forecast not sure about the temperature though as haven't ventured outside yet.
DH up and off to work stupid early.
Yesterday was the joint of roast pork and trimmings etc, was delicious. LO's in the fridge to accompany/make another meal. Have a vague menu plan in place for this week.
Back to the paid stuff today for me - I will no doubt find out what's been going on whilst I've been away. DS1 has an exam today and 1 on Wednesday.
Starting the week in a fairly reasonable state housework wise - have been doing flylady whilst off last week - didn't get everything done I would have liked but certainly made big improvements in some areas and got a few jobs done that I'd been puttig off etc.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Managed to do all those little niggly jobs over the weekend.:T
OH made me a bee house, and it looks lovely in the garden:j
Sunny in Hastings today. Got Mr T shop coming for my Dad, will take it up tomorrow. They do feed him in the home:rotfl:but he likes his beer and wine and things like sushi, smoked salmon, and stinky cheese! So I get a load at once and keep it here, then I don't have to go out so often.
Have an electrictian coming this afternoon to put an outside socket on the deck. One of those jobs that OH hasn't got around to, and every year I use extentions to run the radio etc outside, so for £25 I can get it done.:T
Going through my DVD's and CD's today too. Did the last part of my wardrobe yeasterday, so got some more for Ebay. Got to post 9 items today that I sold over the weekend.
Going to the GP this afternoon for a BP check. Honestly everyone is worried about my BP except me!:rotfl:
Halight hope your wrist feels better soon.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning all,
A busy day planned, mum and dad over for tea as its mums birthday.
I am going to make chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese and chips and veg. Mum and dad are not very adventurous when it comes to food so am making something I know they will like.
Also going to make a Victoria sponge.
I also have lots of left overs from Sunday lunch that ds2 gf made, which was delicious. So going to make chicken and veg soup to freeze, will also send a portion to Anna's as she made it:D
In between I have lots of ebaying to do.
House is clean and tidy from the weekend just a few bits to wash.
Ds3 is just off to college, dh has a day at home today so he can help.
Have a good day all J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all!
No sunshine this morning, but its dry at least! Going to the GP shortly, then will have to do some housework, this house is a tip and its getting on my nerves! Kitchen and bathroom are the only clean and tidy rooms, so little dears will be told to excavate their pits this week and I will see what I can do in my room and living room!
Right, better get shifting, have a good day all!RIP Iain

Well, I actually managed an unbroken nights sleep for once. Went to bed at about 11.30, next thing I knew it was DH's alarm going off at 6.15. And I dozed off afterwards.
Will get cracking on the housework in a moment, will do vacuuming and the kitchen, and get the towels etc in the WM.
I also intend seeing if I can get someone round to do a quote on trimming back the shrubs in the garden. These shrubs are way to tall for us to do it properly ourselves. I've had a few flyers through the door, so I'll try calling them. We've had people in from a local contractor to do this a couple of times in the past, but I think they are slightly on the expensive side.
Will also pop down to the post office to get the eBay parcels posted.
Dinner tonight will be Mexican chicken casserole.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Morning all,
Our bed stripped and remade, have stripped the bed DGD uses and remade that too. Wm & Bm on. I'm going to DD's to look after DGD2 and DGD3 whilst she does her big shop. DGD3 is smothered in Chicken Pox, they're even in her mouth and ears and on her eyelids. DD had a bad nights sleep l/night. I'll bring DGD2 back home with me, she'll sleep over so I'll take her to play school tomorrow.
I've got the finger paints out and loads of puzzles. Paper is expensive as she goes through a lot so I have a roll of lining wallpaper and cut off what she needs. So much cheaper than books of drawing paper.
Cooking a joint of honey glazed Gammon, brocc and cauli cheese, and pots for dinner, I'll do enough for DD& Sil2b, also pack him a lunch box for tomorrow. Need to make a cake of some sort, DGD loves helping to cook.
Have a good day all.0 -

Hey peeps been a few weeks
Stopped posting as only doing the bare min OS and really CBA posting about doing b*gger all:o
Not that it has significantly changed, house still hasn't sold, despite lots of viewings. Really struggling with this aspect and as a result haven't been online as much.
Anyway enough of my waffle. Fasting today so tea will be a salad of some description or maybe some soup.
Off to school for a hour for DDs class, they've invited all parents in for a sharing day. After that its back the usual housework, beds to change, dusting and some errands to run.
Hugs and spoons all round xI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all, lovely weekend...swimming with son then off to Norfolk with OH to visit his eldest daughter. Had a great time, but it was tiring.
Today coz is coming (arriving shortly) to help me finish the room of doom. It's been used as a large cupboard for many years, but I want the space to do arty/crafty work in. I am really glad of the help and she offered so I bit her arm off! will take her out for a nice lunch to say thank you.
Tomorrow next work project starts in earnest, so that'll keep me out of mischief for a couple of weeks.
Planning a birthday T party for mid May so need to design pretty email invitiations and work out the logistics.....numbers of chairs etc.
Hip and back are bad today (probably all that sitting in the car), but hopefully the bending, stretching and carrying involved in clearing that room with loosen it all up.
Warm (nearly typed 'wart') wishes to all who need them.'Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.' T S Eliot0
