Protecting myself from cashback collapse?

Hey,

i am about to take out a contract from a mobile phone company who are offering me good cashback on the deal. I am slightly hesitant because my dad once took out on ofthese offers from a small company and it went bust and he never got his cashback.

I don't have a credit card (i believe you can claim to the card company?) so i was wonderign if there wwas any other way i could make sure it doesn't happen to me?

Many thanks

A credit card wouldn't help anyway if the cashback retailer goes bust.

There's no way of making sure. Just be prepared to take the risk that they may go bust leaving you to pay your network the full amount due each month.

be sure to read previous threads on most of the big retailers offering cashback deals... if you mention the company you are thinking of going with other might be able to comment on their experiences with the company.

    They are part of MSOLs.

Are you sure you know what you are doing.

How do you mean? Who are MSOLS?

I've had cashback offers before but never from a small(er) company like mobilerainbow.com, only from The Link and Phones 4 u and so on.

Do they have a poor reputation or something?
