Bt pairing/connecting

I've recently moved from a Desire Z to an Xperia P. My Z paired fine with my Jabra SP5050 but I'm getting nowhere trying to pair with the P. The Jabra's blue light is flashing which means it's in pairing mode, but the P can't see/find it!

I can't sign in at the Sony support forum for some reason, so I wondered if anyone here could help me?

Thanks in anticipation.
David.

Tell us what mode the bluetooth is in on the Sony, there is more than on/off , there is make visible and scan for new devices.
    More info required.

The phone's Bt is on, "Visible to all nearby Bluetooth devices", but when "Search for devices" is pressed it eventually comes up with "No nearby Bluetooth devices were found".

If I've tried once, I've now tried several dozen times but getting nothing!

Does the handset detect any other BT devices? If so it is the headset that may require a reset? (Some will only pair to one handset), i the handset does not detect any other BT devices then the handset may require attention.

When I was setting up the P, it 'saw' and connected to the Z ok.

I had previously checked the Jabra online site, but on delving into it a bit deeper just now, out of 80 products compatible with the P, there's no mention of the SP5050!! :(

So it looks as if it's new unit I need!
