Make sure they have billed to an actual read and not a estimate also
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

So after a lengthy call with Npower today it seems 2 statements were sent simultaneously by mistake - they have adjusted my DD back to what it was. The guy at the call centre basically said that the billing system was rubbish.

I though it was only EDF that had a crazy billing system, seemingly designed to increase your DD regardless of what reality says.... Maybe they're all in this together - they all sat in the pub one night wondering how they could improve cash flow? ;)

I have moved from Npower 2 months ago.

I haven't had a final bill so checked online & it showed £500 in credit. However neither had they billed for the last 6 months.

After 2 phone calls where I was told the system wasn't working, I eventually spoke to someone.

Was told they have had a new computer system & there have been some billing problems. Was told that they would resolve this & send a bill - that was a week ago & still waiting.

The lady did an estimate & apparently I owe then £150 (so I'm in no rush to get the bill).
• Funny i am having the same problem with NPOWER, i got my bill in December (was paying £143 per mth DD) the bill said my payments should now be £65 per mth DD as i had paid most of my arrears ???? off. Yet today they say i owe them almost £1,000.00 when i logged onto my account it shows i'm £103.00 in CREDIT. I've tried to switch suppliers after THREE COMPLAINTS have been ignored, and they have blocked my move saying i owe them money. I wrote to the ombudsman back in October 2012 and i've heard nothing from them either........................... is my next step a solicitor as i don't appear to be getting help or guidance from anywhere else. In the mean time i am getting court action letters and loosing LOTS of sleep.

I have started another thread about the idiocy of BG and their billing system.
I'm going to leave BG because they annoy me so much.
But is there another company that does actually have a sensible working billing system?????
From the posts above I somehow doubt it.
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.
• Don't they all have a SAP billing system in various guises?

just wanted to say that I am one of those rare people who has actually got a dd reduction. I also a refund of £195.88 ! I still think i may be paying slightly too much but cant be bothered to ring. I stuck to waiting for them to send me a meter reading reminder which seems to have worked this year.

Hi Chegzay,

This sounds a little confusing so I can see why you would be frustrated.

Let me take a look into this for you and see what's what on your account - just send me over an email with all the details to forumresponse@npower.com

Many thanks,

Adam :)
