One good reason to be in the RAC/AA/Greenflag. They would have recovered it for nothing.Never Knowingly Understood.

Are you sure on that? I asked them and they said they wouldn't. Trailers are classed as commercial.
If the car breaks down they will tow the trailer behind for free. No issues.
But if the trailer requires recovery they said you need to add arrival?
Caravan and camping club scheme for caravans and trailers etc.
They would have done as the police did, Arrange someone to recover it at your costs. They class is as commercial recovery.
Double check that. It was only something i became aware of a few years back. I now have the RAC and camping club membership which adds trailer cover.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

The RAC had no hassle recovering my van when it broke-down a couple of years back. I didn't have commercial cover, but they had no issue with that.Never Knowingly Understood.

I presume the van was under 3500kg.
But a trailer they class as commercial recovery.
I tow trailers and caravans and had to ask this question.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
After a strongly worded email and a polite reminder that its unlawful (?) to take peoples pic without permission etc they bowed down and admitted we had been treated not in accordance with "company procedure" and we now have out trailer and contents back at a price that was even less than originally quoated! They called it a "goodwill gesture" which i find a tad insulting as they were so obviously in the wrong and even admitted that, but hey ho, we have our property back. It just worries me if they do this to vulnerable people who dont have the courage to question things......i wonder how many people just pay what they are ordered to??0

If they sued I'd defend it on the grounds they have breached be contract and it remains unfulfilled.
EDIT: sorry just realised its been resolved
