there'll be a hefty daily storage charge for it,i was in an accident in a company van and they were charging around £70 a day storage i seem to recall...we went and got it back out...quick!0

You had a verbal contract which they breached.
If you're in a public place they don't need your permission. They took my husbands photo without his permission and also of the car.0 -

Yep, and having Essex constabulary as witnesses won't hurt eithersquirehorse wrote: ».......Essex Police came and asked if we wanted to use their pick up truck services to get the trailer home. It was a very dodgy place it had happened so we said yes but wanted a price first. They rang through and said £200, when they arrived they also said £200 (they knew the address, milage ect).......0 -
Still the issue of daily storage and if you want them to dispose of it they may charge for that also.
They may charge more than it costs you to get it removed.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Wonder how many redundant cowboy clampers bought themselves a recovery lorry.
Police themselves won't be remotely interested, no nicks and a load of grief, might be worth a letter to the new Police Commissar of your area though, give 'em something to do for their inflated packages.0 -
We absolutely didn't "kick off`' as you put it! Unlike those that run said lock up we are courteous people! Do you really think we would use a trailer knowing it would be a danger? Honestly, why bother posting on here if you have nothing positive to say?I can understand your frustration regarding this, but you state that the trailer is not worth anything.
So give it up, let them scrap it. Job done.
Then there is no comeback for storage charges etc, as they have your details.
I don't understand why the recovery company would need to take your pictures, or those of your vehicle, unless, as I suspect, you went down there kicking off and abusing them, and they needed that as evidence.
It all sounds like a storm in a teacup. Buy a decent trailer that works, that doesn't cause accidents, hold up the public, or use the emergency services, when they can be deployed elsewhere.0 -
We were in their compound at the time. Wish we had taken their mugshots too, bet they wouldn't have liked that!Norman_Castle wrote: »You had a verbal contract which they breached.
