Hey all,
Had no internet or phone since thursday morning, so tomorrow it'll be 4 days, they advised i'd get a call back within 24 hours as it needed to be sent to their customer service resolutions team as the fault is outside of my home, they found this after doing some tests with me on the phone:mad::mad:.
anyway, fast forward, i rang today after hearing nothing to be told I haven't waited long enough and i need to wait 5 days :eek:
anyone heard of this? always had a good experience with sky but this is pretty terrible!!!

They should have raised the problem as a line fault with BT OpenReach. It is most likely BTOR that you are waiting for to fix the fault.
Sky are at fault for not keeping you up to date.
It doesn't matter which ISP you are with, if its a line fault the they all rely on BT to fix it.
Not much comfort to you though. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Hey,
Thanks for reply :-)0 -
5 working days is the absolute norm for BT OR to fix a residential line fault. Nothing to do with Sky, they no doubt get told nothing by OR either.
Make sure you ask for a credit for the downtime, as it's not given automatically. No free lunch, and no free laptop
