And even better for them, they lost the election, leaving the current government to sort out the mess. Not only that, they now claim that they would now have the economy sorted !
Even better the Tories couldn't gain a majority  what is that saying 'couldn't hit a barn from the inside with the doors closed'
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Why does he/she needle you so much? There have been numerous 'pension raids' over the years. I remember Nigel Lawson doing it! Watch 'Inside Job' ....then come back and apologise in your own time.Thrugelmir wrote: »I've yet to see DLW post anything remotely factual.
Or respond to a single question.
At the time events such as the pension raid received scant coverage. As the economy was apparently booming. Now its not. How the boom was funded will come to light. Wasn't just the banks that went on a spree.0 -
Always interesting to note that those criticising the Brown changes to retained / distributed profits never say which taxes they would have increased instead.0

Perhaps if you are on benefits then you would be refused access?
There would obviously be exceptions. But people seem to be able to afford prescription charges. Why not do away with those charges and charge for the initial appointment instead. Those that need treatment would be no worse off, it might make others reconsider whether they really need to visit their gp after all0 -

- Old - probably exempt
- Children - probably exempt
Many who are also on Doctor requested repeat visits.
- Genuinely sick/injured
I have visited A&E on a Friday night and yes I have seen people worse for wear, through drink, being loud, obnoxious, offensive or a mixture. I don't dispute these and a few stupid people or vulnerable do waste time. Just how big a problem this is I am not so sure in the scheme of things.
Cameron is now saying (R4this morning) that immigrants won't get NHS care for 12 months from arrival.
I would like to know how the hell that will be policed and enforced if they are in genuine need.

But David Cameron said the Conservatives were committed to the "common ground" on the cost of living, immigration and the NHS.

Rationed treatment for anything less than 50% payment of ni stamps or 80% attendance at welfare to work if you are on jsa, during your working life would be a good start.
Same for drunks and addicts.0 -

Don't come without insurance would be my suggestion
I am funding it for my move to the UAE, why should anyone else be different if they come here? It will keep out the dross who can't afford it to start, and those who can't who were too stupid and risked coming without, well, I take it you have heard about Charles Darwin and his theory right?0 -

Charles Darwin said nothing about intelligence or ability or having money.
He said that those that survive are survivors.0 -
