You're a hypocrite. Only a few days ago you said this. Hypocrite.Thrugelmir wrote: »The moneys been accounted for in Browns welfare spending plans that he instigated.
I wonder when the lid will come off the Brown/Blair relationship.Thrugelmir wrote: »Suggesting its down to one person is somewhat harsh. While media presence may not be great. Ability to deliver is what matters. So I believe that he's thick skinned enough to shrug off the flack0 -

So after a great deal of analysis using all sorts of challengable and unspecified assumptions this expert has concluded the cost is probably more that a big figure- £100bn -and possibly more than a bigger figure - £150bn, but he does not really know for sure.
And 7 years later you quote it on a forum? These conveniently round numbers with hugh uncertainties associated with them are hardly meaningful.
If DLW did this I can only imagine what you would say:)Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

And we're hearing that there maybe another raid on pensions in the upcoming budget.
Rather than taxing more and more and more, we need to reduce the size of the state to one we can actually afford.
Governments never seem to learn this.
I will say it again. Ration NHS treatment and the pensions and deficit issues disappear.0 -

I've yet to see DLW post anything remotely factual.
Or respond to a single question.
At the time events such as the pension raid received scant coverage. As the economy was apparently booming. Now its not. How the boom was funded will come to light. Wasn't just the banks that went on a spree.0 -
The irony is that Labour were rescued by the Global crash. Without the crash, the UK Economy was a 100% cert to be in hideous trouble anyway. The crash just allowed lowlives like Brown & Balls to glibly blame their incompetence on something else. And there are plenty of vested interests & morons who'll support that claim at every opportunity.
And even better for them, they lost the election, leaving the current government to sort out the mess. Not only that, they now claim that they would now have the economy sorted !30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -

So obvious that the party at senior level was split. The current shadow cabinet are all Brownites. Explains so much.
Obviously in the past but not in the future, I ask again, when do you think Ozzie will reverse it?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

What if you are not in a position either physically or mentally make payment or you are not in a position to make payment for financial reasons?

Yes but Terry Authur has been peddling this tale for years. He now speaks of £300bn. On that basis you could blame the current Tory party for an astronomical sum on the basis that since Pitt the Younger introduced income tax everyone is worse off. When did anyone advocate removing the tax change that Brown made? Has Cameron reversed it?Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment.
