Does anyone know of any schemes like this in the Ballymena area??
Organic doorstep is now delivering out of Belfast but not anywhere near me as yet. :(
  • Don't know if they are organic or not, but you can get your veggies straight from the ground at the Ecos Centre Market Garden. The guy who runs it is pretty helpful with gardening and cooking tips too.

Just wondering where everybody buys their organic veg round here? I know there's the camphill shop in Hollywood but don't really want to drive over there every couple of days. Anyone know if there's much organic at St George's market at the weekends?

Theres an organic veg stall at st georges on a saturday-might even be helens bay but not definate, and mcmullans which does meat and eggs. If you go in the main doors (that face Lanyon place) and go down the first aisle on the left, they are towards the back...Ive a feeling there organic juice too. Ill nip out of work tomorrow and have a look for you if you would like? (I work in Lanyon place anyway)

Thanks LMac, I'll try and nip down to the market myself for a look. I'm vegan so it'd just be fruit & veg I'd be after.

There is a box scheme where the boxes are delivered to Open Sesame healthfood shop on Botanic and you pick them up. I think it's from Helen's Bay. Might be worth asking in there if you live nearby.

Thanks Belfastgirl, there's a box delivery scheme round here but I like to go and pick what I want, I'm so fussy lol

LMac, I'm sorry I answered this last night when I was tired & didn't thank you properly for your offer :o. It was so kind of you to offer to nip in and check for me, thank you so much

It's a bit late but I'm heading down to the market now for a nosy, if anyone wants something picked up just text me ;)

Thanks Leftie, I see one of their vans parked near where we live. Was thinking of giving them a try but have been put off with them selling meat products. I'm really funny about raw meat, it really does make me gagg.

I managed to get down to the market. There were three stalls selling organic veg. Their stuff looked fine, I picked up a couple of things but there wasn't a very big choice. Being vegan I like to have a varied diet so like a bit more than the usual spuds and cabbage lol.

I might start going to the market on a Saturday and the camphill shop during the week when I can.
