Vodafone upgrade has got me over £100 bill
Options
I've had a contract phone for my wife for a couple of years or so with vodafone and when it was due for renewal i got her a sim only contract because she already had an iphone. I took out another contract for an iphone for myself. I used to spend less than £10 a month on pay as you go, but fancied an iphone so didnt mind paying a bit more.
Now when i spoke to the bloke on the phone he said i can have a iphone 4s for £30 a month and my wifes sim only, he will do the £15.50 tariff for £10.50 a month. Told me to expect high than usual bill for 2 months as i was upgrading 2 months early, but since october i've had nothing but big bills and then yesterday they took £130.78 out off my account. Been online to check my vodafone account and they are charging me £10.50 for sim only, but i'm only getting the £10.50 tariff and not the £15.50 tariff that was promised and my phone they've been charging me full price of £37 and giving me unlimited texts and calls. I'm lucky if i use more than 30 mins a month so don't understand why i'm paying for all that and because my wife is on the lesser tariff she has used over double her call allowance and now i have £130.78 bill.
I spoke to customer services on the phone and he agreed they've been overcharging me for my phone but my wife's is correct and shes only entitled to 300 mins a month and not 600. So now i'm paying a big phone bill every month for unlimited calls that i don't use and my wife has a contracted that is useless for her and now will cost me every month she goes over her limit. The bloke on the phone said just change the sim cards and i would if we could keep our own numbers but he said we can't so not such a bright idea, the only other suggestion was to upgrade her contract but if i was given what i was sold then there wouldn't be an issue.
As an extra insult 2 weeks ago i had someone from vodafone contact me trying to sell me extra offers and said that he couldn't offer me anything because we had the best deals suited to us, which obviously isn't the case and said he would put 10 free picture messages a month on my wifes account.
Now what i want to know is where do i go with this. They agreed on the phone that part of the deal that was sold to me was incorrect, but i'm still left with two phone contracts that are unsuited to our needs, i don't use my phone but have unlimited everything and my wife has the smallest call allowance that no doubt she will go over every month.

Why not swap SIMs? You can then use her reduced allowance, and she your increased one?0

Hopefully the voda rep will sort things out.
In case things are not resolved, according to Which?
"If you relied on verbal statements made to you at the time of entering into the contract relating to tariffs, savings or any offers, and those statements turn out not to be true, then you can bring a claim under the Misrepresentation Act to either have the contract cancelled, or to claim damages."
