DD came today, instead of tomorrow, and had 'strangled eggs' on toast instead of her favorite biscuits. She has always called them 'strangled' since a little girl and its stuck :):)whilst here I had a nice cheque for £73. 85 drop through the letter box for a complaint she made for me ages ago that I had forgotten about, so for the price of a stamp I am one happy old duck this afternoon :):) and DD was chuffed to bits. She is a great letter writer and would get blood from a stone I think if she could.:):) So that will go into the bank towards my large bills this month.
Washing is all out on the line having a bit of a blow and I'm just about to start some baking as the cake tins are empty.
No shopping to buy today though, I found enough bread in the freezer to see me over the weekend, so will wait until Monday before getting more.
I think I will have bangers and mash for dinner tonight as I seem to have quite a few sausages in the freezer, and some savoy cabbage that's in the fridge, pudding will be mango and plain yoghurt.Lunch is HM soup from the freezer with crackers.
Have a good day everyone whatever you are doing
    Cheers JackieO xx

    Afternoon :)

Had a very productive morning - bath cleaned, bed changed, downstairs and upstairs hoovered and polished and have a very shiny kitchen :j

Also had two nice bits of luck - OH's brother has just moved and the previous owners left a tumble dryer which he didn't want, now installed in our kitchen! It's a very old one (1974) but still works and they even kept the instructions :p

OH's dad has also been to the butchers and picked up two huge great lumps of brisket, he's going to portion them up and send some our way:j

Mr A has delivered so hopefully won't have to spend too much more this month, HM chilli for tea although OH has just been called out so won't even think about starting it yet. Will be making flapjacks at some point and will see how much mixed fruit I have left to make a fruit cake. After a busy morning i'm treating myself and going to have a go on a computer game :D

No kids this weekend, will be nice to have some me/us time after this week.

Hugs to all who want/need and hope everyone has a nice weekend

    Afternoon All
Cold and grey here, so the washing is on the airer.
DH wants me to make an apple braid so the dough is proving and I have a few apples that are in desperate need of using up, better that than throw them out.
I need to go and get another lettuce for wraps so I will pop down to the market on my scooter in a little while, I thought that the couple of packs of little gem that I bought in Aldi would last longer than they have, my lot have wiped them out making wraps.
We bought some seeding compost yesterday so if it is warmer tomorrow I think that I will start sowing some seeds up, the potatoes are chitted so they can go in their pot as well.
Plus DH has a new cherry tree to plant, the old one had sour cherries, that has been transplanted down at the school and we have bought a sweet cherry to replace it.

DH has just gone over to see his friend, so I have some peace and quiet for a couple of hours

Apart from that nothing much doing here so BFN x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

halight - my 2 girls could spend ages in the library when they were little and we often went to storyteling/activity sessions. What ages are your girls?
I miss doing things like that now mine are teenagers.

Popped into town this morning....needed birthday cards and sweets for my dad's birthday next Saturday. Looked in couple of charity shops and got what would have been a very expensive Hollister shirt for youngest DD for only £3.49! I was very happy....she hasn't seen it yet as she's at dancing and then back to a friend's for a couple of hours, but she'll be impressed. Also a Gok Wan book for eldest DD....I don't like him myself but she does, and it was only 99p and looks brand new.
Youngest DD seems to feel a bit better this morning so that's good, though I know she puts on a brave face on a Saturday morning as she refuses to let her illness stop her going to her dancing.. She's managed 2 1/2 days at school this week....so really pleased.
She rang me when I was in town to tell me that she's got a place on the school trip to Paris next May, she's really happy.
Well, pile of ironing sitting on my table so better get on....

Had all the school uniforms in the WM ready to add DH's work uniform so I could get that washed last night - so once he was home I asked him to get his clothes off - think he thought he was going to get a bit of "hestering" :p - I just wanted to get the WM on!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I wish mine would think like that - if I tell him to get his kit off, he automatically assumes I want his underpants to put in the WM!:(:(:(:D

Talking of underpants - Mr LW was in need of some new ones, and some new socks, so that's a big hole in my pension money this month. Also managed to get a good supply of nuts (nut loaf for the making of) and some really good bargains at the F&V stall.

Got my photo done for my new CEA card, and got an appointment for an eye test (28th March), and I am absolutely cream crackered now.

Ladyshopper and Molly: Kingston MK is the Mr T branch where they were so unpleasant about getting me a wheelchair trolley. I haven't been back since. I can do without that sort of humiliation.

Lamewolf - thats terrible, don't blame you for not going back.

I had to pop into Sainsburys at Sixfield today - OMG its changed since I last went there, which wasn't that long ago!! It is now 2 storeys, with a 2 storey car-park as well. All looked very busy. Luckily I was only popping in for something on my way back from the tip, but will have to go back on a less quiet day for a proper look round!

I have been quite productive today, which is unusual for me. Usually waste far too much time surfing the net looking for bargains! :rotfl:

Took a load of stuff to the tip that has been hanging around for ages. Also binned loads of stuff in my computer room. It should be a computer room/family room, or at least that was the plan, but it turned into the dumping room ever since I moved in 5 years ago! Anyway, made serious inroads into it today so quite happy.

No idea what I'm making for tea, perhaps veggie lasagne. Kids have gone into town with their friends, my idea of hell on a Saturday (or most other times to be fair!). One has gone to buy me a mothers day present (my DS15) and the other has gone to help her friend choose a new outfit for a one direction concert (DD14). Priorities!! ;)

Anyway, long time since I've written a lengthy post on here, but most of the time I feel a bit of a fraud reading what everyone else does compared to how lazy I can be! :o

Its a very old secret family recipe :D, no actually its something we started off here, its basically nice bread cheese ham crisps etc, basically picky bits, we call it cheesy nabs in our house, and BB has adopted it :T

we have this its my kids fav meal but i call it bits and bobs. my son is having it tonight. made some rolls with just dough and rolled the dough with cheese and he loves them. easy tea.
steak for us. ..sounds mean but they wont even entertain it so i asked what their fav meal would be and i would cook them seperate and they asked for bits and bobs - result!!

been and bought a meat deal at a local butchers and you get loads. i have worked out with a couple of meat free days - ie tuna pasta and fish cakes etc this meal will last two weeks. really pleased with that. ive portioned it all up and put it in the freezer. then been to @ldi and got the rest of the bits and peices. have spent the whole of this weeks budget but we have really got loads of stuff and maybe wont need hardly anything next week...heres hoping.

has anyone seen obsessive compulsive cleaners? (it may not be called that) i love it. its a bit like how clean is your house but better imo. been watching that today. cleaned all downstairs and got the washing on. will do upstairs later. my daughter helped me do the whole house on monday so its still quite shiney.

The twins will be 5 In June.

We had a great time at the Library this morning.

They did some craft. They had Butterfly's. They also had a story read to them. In was only meat to be on for an hour. But they were In no rush to get shot of anybody. We were there for Just over two hours In the end. So a good time was had by all.
Its on once a month. But no real set week. they phone round everyone that has put there name down on the list and tell them what week its going to be on.
There were 9 other Kids there plus our two. There are others that go as well. But not there today.

We shall be going again.:j:j The Girls really enjoyed it.
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j
