O/S Daily Saturday 02nd March This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well”

Today we will be taking the Girls to the Library They have a story this on. Its between 11-12.00. Not taken them to this before so we don;t really know what its all about. But its free so we thought we would give it a go.
After Lunch my wife has some craft stuff for them to do. Also she is going to have a go a that weetabix and banana cake. The Girls like to do a bit of cooking. So they should like to do this.
Well I hope that you all have a good day.

Good morning everyone
Flying visit as I am getting dry from the shower, then on my way to pick up DGG's birthday scooter. Followed by some farm shopping and maybe a few charity shop visits.
It's dull but dry so last night's was is already on the line.
Still haven't completed the jigsaw
Steak in the slow cooker to make stroganoff tonight with some left over mushrooms and cream and a few little roast potatoes.
Off I go with well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning everyone
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Halight - seems we are the only people that get up stupid early! Except my DH when he get's up for work! Having said that today he's had a lie-in and we both didn't wake until 6am!
Cloudy, dull, overcast - clouds look really grey and nasty - but there's no rain forecast - just sunshine later. We've had several days this week where it's started off like this and then the sky has cleared and it's been a beautiful day - let's hope today's no different!
Dinner last night was an easy cheese and ham kievs, chips, beans/veg for the menfolk, salmon, jacket potato and veg for me. Was reasonably productive again yesterday - washed, dried and ironed anything left in the dirty wash basket, have 2 loads washed but not dried - will get that dried today, 1 load being school/work uniform. Had all the school uniforms in the WM ready to add DH's work uniform so I could get that washed last night - so once he was home I asked him to get his clothes off - think he thought he was going to get a bit of "hestering"- I just wanted to get the WM on!
Dinner tonight will be prawns in black bean sauce, mushroom chow mein, and HM veg rice, and for tomorrow's lunch we are having roast pork with all the trimmings.
Did various jobs yesterday, went to town, the bank, the butchers, paid the deposit for the bathroom re-fit, visited the other SM to get the items I couldn't get on the on-line order - this arrived at 5.15pm - so was great as I was able to get it all put away and get the dinner organised so I wasn't trying to cook and put shopping away - my kitchen is certainly not poky but it's not big either. Changed our bed, hoovered through again, tidied up some hotspots in various rooms, so although not all the "to do" list been done - certainly in a much better position than I was a week ago - feel better that most stuff is either done/will be done over the coming weeks. Feels like I have some control back and not the overwhelming sense of panick that everything's a mess and where do I start! DH has to go to his course all day today - so will utilise this time to do some baking/cooking, DS2 needs some guidance with some homework. So a relatively quiet day here but things to do.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning all,
Bit dull here today but really quite mild.
Hubby is over the allotment. He has been there since about 7 o' clock. I will go over there in a little while.
Wm is on. Ironing needs to be done today as there is quite a pile now. Need to get some baking done at some point as the tins are empty.
Tea tonight is pork loin chops with hm wedges and salad. I really should go shopping today as the cupboards are looking a little bare. Don't know if i can be bothered today. I used to love going grocery shopping but now find it such a chore.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Morning All
A little cloudy this morning, not what we are used to at all. Still, the washing is in and I will put it out in a bit, probably a 3 load day today as the farmer's field smell has gone at last.
Been busy with housework the last couple of days as I had a viewer for the house yesterday, lovely people, just hope they come back! Can't believe I got myself in such a state over it, I was nearly sick on the way home from work worrying about it! After they went I had a glass of wine and relaxed in the bath. Made hm wedges for tea - that was all I could do, will try harder today!
DS2 and GF coming over today so have invited friends for dinner so everyone can catch up with them, going to make a roast beef sunday dinner a day early!
Shopping this morning but no housework apart from the washing as the house is still gleaming.
Hope all's well with you all, enjoy your weekend. Take care. XX0 -

Will be off to take OHs cousin to the airport shortly, she's been good company for MIL. Will need to do some food shopping after that, then come home and sort out some marinades, have loads of chicken drumsticks to sort out for DS's friends leaving party tomorrow, she is off to the army next week! Right better shift or will be late, have a good day all!RIP Iain

Morning chums,
bit overcast but dry at least and fairly mild.I have just put the washing machine on, and hopefully the wash will get a blow on the line.I want to rearrange my freezer today, and re-do my freezer list that's stuck on the outside .
I have a feeling I have some bread in there which will save me a trip to buy some, as its the only thing I need shopping wise at the moment .
I am severely frugalling this month as I have a hefty bill to pay for my stair carpet that's being renewed this week, and I am hoping not to use any savings from my stash if I can.
I may do some biscuit baking later as I know I have plenty of stuff in the cupboards and fancy a lemon drizzle cake and some Melting Moments for my DD for tomorrow when she comes for coffee in the morning.Apart from that, not a great deal to do today, so I will just be pottering around I think.
Hope everyone has a good day
Cheers chums JackieO xxx0 -

Morning everyone,
Hugs to all in need especially Molly and LW.
All up in this house apart from DD1.
OH has gone for a bike ride, DS is getting ready for work and DD2 is slobbing in front of the telly!
Off to SM soon to stock up the empty fridge, haven't been for a fortnight so it will be a big shop.
Had a lovely pub meal out with some friends that I rarely get to see yesterday, we went early as it half price before 7 and I had a great time.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0
