    Sainsbury's have warped logic

    I get a voucher for £10 off a £100 shop (10%)

    My father-in-law get a voucher for £5 off a £40 shop (20%)

So not only am I expected to spend more money to take advantage of the offer, I get less benefit than someone who needs to spend less. Clearly, they think I'm a 'captive' shopper and don't have to encourage me to shop there....

Sorry but I don't understand those that only buy what they need weekly unless their income is so low that its impossible.

I think there are more people in that position than you'd think. Been there, bought the t shirt, it's like a slap in the face when you're skint and they give you these vouchers - the luxury of being able to spend £40 when you're in that position!

If I *can* afford it then I do use the vouchers, to bulk buy something such as beer or wine - but seeing as much of that bulk stuff I get in Costco, the price of some things (bin bags, laundry liquid, sacks of rice etc) are just so much cheaper when you buy them using the excellent Costco vouchers. So I don't always use the Tesco vouchers.

I did use a voucher in Mr T's this week as there was a decent wine offer, which worked out cheap, for once.

For the past three weeks I have received £5 off a £40 spend in Tesco.

I don't often spend that amount, but if I can find enough things that I will use and that will last, so that I don't waste, I will use them.

Also lots of little vouchers. Activia is half price in Tesco at the moment, so with the voucher, it will be £1 for 8.
