Thanks all, she is very thin (5.5 stone) and 5ft 6 so it's that between height yet not a woman in frame. I think best option will be a shopping trip (with boys I miss this, so a pleasure), nail bar and lunch. Even if no jeans are found, we will have a lot of fun, as I am really looking forward to shopping and spending the time as opposed to buying and wrapping an item.

I could ask her parents but feel its what I always do, it's time to take some control and I'd love to hit the town, so from posts, I think it is the best way forward. New look and top shop will be visited.

Ps - this is gonna cost me more isn't it? It's not like boys I take it. Ha ha. Really happy though.

their proper jeans don't, no. They aren't really made as kids clothes, they are made more as small versions of adult styles.

A day out is a good idea. If a size 00 in hollister is too big a 4 in topshop will be & I've only ever seen 4 in the petite section which is for 5' 3'' and under. Plus Topshop uses vanity sizing so it's really a size 6.

Buying jeans is a nightmare even when you are older!

H&M start at a 24" waist too in their ladies' jeans. Perhaps too big like you say, but might be worth a look?
  • BHS have a Tammy Girl range. They had lovely skinny jeans in last week when I was in. As someone else said Top Shop are good as well. River Island also do smaller sizes for teens :)

I have quite a few female cousins (10 of them) so have done this myself OP!

I would definitely suggest the 9-15 range in New Look and H&M I think do a teen range.

Also, if you fancy a pamper treat, Clarins counters will sometimes so a make-up "lesson" for £10,where you can pick your own colours or let them choose for you and you end up with your make-up done for you. Me and my closest cousin used to do this, visit the perfume section and try a new perfume then go for dinner. You can get some fantastic weekend-shopping offers for meals in the bars.

    Have fun!

Yes....it could cost you a fortune, if you let it! As mum to 2 teenage DDs, mine have always been happy to look in Hollister, spray the perfume and perhaps buy a T shirt. Then go to Primark and have a look at adult clothes in size 6 or 8. Be prepared to look in every shop, and then hours later....go back to the first one you went in to actually buy something!:)
