I could stay here and wait for an apology for your wasting my time arguing for nothing

So could I, but it takes two to argue.

I'm not going to hold a third party responsible for my personal choice to bite and hold on and neither should you. Take responsibility.

I chose to drag out the conversation, possibly I shouldn't have but the thread was already ruined and I'm really bored at work right now so I thought what the hey.

Immature? Perhaps. But that's my choice.

And it was your choice, too. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

As the OP in this thread can I ask you to call a halt to this nonsense now guys.
Your responses, information and opinions on the matter are now noted. This is neither enhancing the information nor your profiles on the board.

Please withdraw gracefully, and forget the "come hell or high water, I'll have the last word" attitude.

I am grateful for the information you have provided, which is slowly becoming lost in the mists, red mists that is.

The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.

You may recall the name cross-over problems I outlined earlier in my big but
It's a current account, not a credit card. They only need to see your passport and perhaps a utility bill . . . you can have your card printed within the hour.
not quite so, it would appear:
A credit check will be undertaken with a credit reference agency when you apply for a Current Account
from terms and conditions tab here

When I applied for my CC, I let them do the credit check before I arrived in-store.

Either way, they are cards worth having if you can ever get to one of their stores.
